So a lot of people hate on the .22 LR saying it cannot do any distance past the barrel basically. I'm on the West Point Rifle Team and we had been throwing around the idea of shooting a .22 at extreme distances. So this summer at Fort Benning we tried at 400 with a 10/22. It was the carbine model and it was near impossible to get a spot so we only hit it once out of about 20 shots. Then one weekend out Team Captain and the shooter following wanted to stretch it out to 600 just to see. Rifle is an Anschutz 1813 Super Match and they were shooting Eley Red box.
