LH Action

Where did you get your left hand Savage actions?
I bought a complete rifle local and rebarreled the first one and the other I bought a action on one of the forums I visit. You have to keep your eyes peeled, they pop up from time to time.

PAWN SHOPS, I found a lightly used in the box Left Handed Tikka T3 Lite 270WSM (from 2012 with the factory match grade barrel,1 owner), with ammo/brass for $600. Saw the ad on Z List Idaho, gun shoots factory 150gr Winchester Ballistic Tips under .5" (closer to .25-.375"). Previous owner was kind enough to leave some ballistic info on the buttstock.

Mounted a Nikon Pro Staff 5 4.5-18x40mm SFP, Ballistic Turret by Kenton, not pictured) on Talley 1 piece rings and the rifle weighs in at 7.7lbs! Own Customs & they have there place in my heart….however, this rifle weighs less & outshoots those other rifles for a fraction of the cost ($1k invested)!

Go with a Tikka, actions are far more precise with tighter tolerances than the other left handed options from the big name manufacturers. Support for the Tikka is strong, have a loyal following that only seems to be growing in popularity. Yes they are tough to come by but you have to go back to the old school way of finding the diamond in the rough!

Good Luck with your search!

Would love to find a left hand tikka rifle/action. Be the most cost effective option for a build for him. Would be more than suitable for his age.
