Leupold Mark 4 34mm Rings

For those of you using the Leupold Mark 4 34mm steel rings, was there any lapping required? I just picked up a new scope and wanted to try these rings because they are fairly inexpensive compared to Badger but if lapping is required I guess it would make sense to spend the extra $ to get rings that did not need it as I don't have any lapping tools.
