Vari X III or VX III? Duplex?

VX III 4.5-14X50 Boone and Crocket reticle with long range parallax focus on the side. 30 mm tube. I sat down with this scope and a Leupold VX 7 4.5-14x50 ($1700) to compare them. This scope is lighter, smaller and worked just as long as it got dark as the VX 7 that cost $900 more. The guy that had bought the $1700 scope was just sick.
