At daylight just, this male came in 125 yards, stood up on this rock with his front paws. I sent a 17 hornet into his chest directly where his lower neck joins it, DRT,more pictures later five in last week. One at a time. Tough shooting in timber.Deer blind at about 12 have three on my property. This male came in after hearing a fawn distress call ten minutes after I started, Icotec Night stalker.All these in December , last pic rolling down a hill still kicking 17 hornet all succumbed to it one shot.

Central Canada Hunter , I don't know what you have available to you . I think that if you can use IMR4350 at 52.0 - 54.0 grains behind a 155 grain full metal jacket bullet you will like the results . Depending on shot placement . At one time I ran the older Winchester 125 factory loads that came in the yellow and red box but I ran out of them I don't remember when they changed hands and went with the white box .

Not sure if we're allowed to hunt varmints with FMJ. I know we can't hunt game animals with them. I'll have to look into it! As for powder we are in the same boat as the USA. Pretty hit and miss what you can find.

silly me...I figured the cure was to get out and shoot some. Come to think of it now, that will only stoke the fever...thanks for setting me straight!
Repeat after me;
"My name is CanisLupus and I am a coyote hunting addict."
The first few hundred times you say this it will be with a bowed head and a solemn tone.
After that, you will grin widely and shout it to the world!😁

Here is a pic of Glen from the walking dead :) I got this one opening day of dear season. He was on a dead run, right in the back of the head. Moderators can delete if to gross…

Hell , I have to skin my coyotes to see if i've hit em with the 17 hornet, sometimes I think the report does them in.No skinning here you know you hit him.

I've wondered the same with my 17 Remington sometimes. Usually when I pick them up it's like a waterbed inside. Hard pressed to find any blood on the outside though. It's amazing what a little 25 grain HP can do to a coyote, it drops them like they were stuck by lightning!!!!
