I have a question about the Leica 1600B rangefinder before I buy one. I know that it can give you the EHR (equivalent horizontal distance) for shooting uphill/downhill. And the EHR takes into account distance, angle, temperature and barometric pressure. But if you plug in the EHR into your ballistics app, you will likely miss the shot because you are double accounting for the temp, and bp. I was wondering if there was any way the Leica 1600B can give the temperature, barometric pressure and/or angle separately? OR are they all put together to give the EHR and there is no way for it to give me the separate readings?

Thanks!

From Leica Instructions on 1600b which you can download from the Leica site.

To accurately calculate the impact point (see following

section), the Leica Rangemaster CRF 1600-B also

determines three crucial pieces of additional information

when measuring the range: the inclination of the unit,

the temperature and the atmospheric pressure. You can

display the relevant values at any time.

Press the secondary button (1) briefly once.

• The reticule appears briefly (if range measurement was

not previously activated) and then the following items

appear in succession for around 2s each instead of the

range:

--Angle of inclination

--Temperature

--Atmospheric pressure

Awesome! That answers my question completely!! Soon to be Leica 1600B owner...
