Just completed budget .308 build!

just gotta say, nice! all around, nice! how do you like the scope? seems like the best deal for the money.

Hey thanks a lot. Yeah it has been a great sport and I am fortunate to have harvested a couple of very quality animals this year. The scope has been great and very reliable. It is a fixed 10x which may limit you if you want to shoot beyond 600yds, but other than that I have no complaints. Cheers!

good to hear, nice pix. i was actually really looking for a fixed ten, the price and 1" tube worried me quite a bit though. again, great work, loved the whole project! keep it up! gun)

Replaced the stock that came on the rifle with and laminated stock. The savage synthetic stock was working fine but I liked the stiffness and look of a laminated stock:) I think it looked nice with the stainless barrel too. I bedded it using devcon plastic steel again which is really bomber. I also added the Burris two piece tactical bases (steel) which are much better than the cheap ones that came on the rifle. To top it off I added a savage large knob tactical bolt. After zeroing at the range I shot a couple groups to make sure it was consistent in the new stock. First group 0.77" and the second 0.4" She seems to like the new stock just fine.
