Is there a problem with recessed QD swivels

I am considering putting a set on a varmit rifle so there is nothing to drag on bags. I am concerned about carrying the rifle on a sling and having it drop off. What is th group experience/wisdom?

Haven't had a problem myself with them. You want a nice high quality heavy duty set. I've seen stories of accidental disconnects sending expensive rifles Earthward unexpectedly but never experienced it.
