I'm deploying to Afghanistan soon as a squad designated marksman.. I'm looking for some knowledge on laser range finders and anemometers. I have a basic knowledge of both, but would really appreciate all the help I can get.
I'm looking for an lrf that can give good readings on a man sized target out as far as possible.. I've been getting very consistent hits out to 1000 meters and enough to feel confident out farther. Anything I get will be purchased out of pocket.. I don't want to be broke by the time I go if I can help it.
For an anemometer, I'm looking for something to give quick and accurate readings consistently that is relatively compact.. Anything I get, I have carry on top of everything else I have.
