IMR 4451 and 7977 Enduron Powders ...

Hi...I know this is old, but was wondering if FEENIX or anyone else has done some more testing with these in the 270win.

Sadly no!

I got too busy playing with various powders on my .300 WSM and 215.

I recently bought a pound of 4451 to try in my Tikka T3 Sporter in 6.5x55. I plan to work up loads for the Barnes 127 gr LRX and Berger 140 gr Hybrid. I will post my results when I can. In the meantime, good shooting!

Sorry, I have yet to try the IMR 7977. I did however try the H1000 in my .300 WSM; best velocity I got with 215 and 65.5g of H1000 2617 FPS. Switched to RL-17 and I settled with 60 RL-17 at 2750 FPS.

I've run the 7977 in my 25-06's with good luck.
110 AB's and 59.5 gr 7977 in a very well used (3500 rounds +) 22" factory barrel are getting me just over 3100 fps.
Thinking of trying it in my 6.5 Swede.
I might also give it a try in my 264 WM and some 142's I have. Though the RL33 is working very well.

Thanks. Im shooting a 300 saum and using n560 right now. When that runs out i was thinking of giving 7977 a try. I can fit 66gr of h1000 in there and its pretty compressed. ive been hearing 7977 is a little faster. So it might a be a good option for me.

Also feenix, when i had my wsm barrel on i loaded up some 215 to 71gr??? of h1000 and got up to 2850.i think thats what i made it up to before i swapped to the saum. Dont quote me on that though its been a long time since i tried it.

I was getting early signs of pressure at 65.5 of H1000. BTW, the 2750 FPS of MV is off 24" barrel.

I have used both powders very successfully in a number of cartridges. Favorite was 7977 in 7mm Rem Mag getting 3,000FPS in 160 gr ABs with 69 grs of powder - and ridiculously accurate at all ranges with low SD. Search is over for me on that cartridge.
