Please PM your contact info, link to the thread if possible and any contact info he gave you and a brief description of events. As posted in another thread, a local LEO buddy has agreed to try and help out. No guarantees but he said he will get all this info into the right hands. I know of at least 6 people, im sure the more people I can add to the list, a harder look will be given

Well, after doing some digging on Long Range Hunting Ive seen our friend has upped his game,

Hes now started multiple accounts at the same time. He uses the accounts to lend credibility to the others:

Here he used account"steppenwolf" to buy his own scope, "steppenwolf" later put him on the good guy list. MO is till the same relatively new accounts. lots of randome posts...then for sale threads.

Here is another:

"dothrakian" is now the buyer.....if you click on "dothrakians" profile, you'll see the same exact account registrtation date as "steppenwolf"....what are the odds....

Thanks for putting this together. I am happy to help get this *** any way I can. I believe you already have my info, and the info he sent me. Could you post a link to the other thread where the LEO's are going after him. I would love to thank them.

The thing that I don't understand is these usernames are known scammers, yet they don't get banned or shut down. Usastripes last login was Dec 27, 2017. Warpig I sent the info I have.

Trust no one. Isn't worth getting scammed online.

I'd suggest any web-based purchase on this Forum be with the same cautions advised by Craigslist on their site. If you send your money off to someone you don't know other than thru his/her add on this Forum or on Craigslist, you will get burned. It's only a matter of time.

Pretending that Len's patrolling this Forum for scammers should be sufficient to ensure you won't get scammed? Get real! If it was simple and easy to prevent, it would have already been done. Scammers always evolve. Craigslist doesn't shut down their web site because folks get scammed using it. People have died as a result of responding to Craigslist adds. Craigslist does advise caution before departing with your cash. No one is more responsible for ensuring they don't get scammed than the victims. It is your money after all.

Is it perfect? Not saying it is. Neither is life fair. The internet is about the easiest way to part with your money and get nothing in return when dealing with individual transactions I'm aware of. The phone is a close second. Nobody holds a gun to your head. You simply decide to send cash off to someone you don't know. When we think about it, how much sense does that really make. It's a voluntary decision, and which can turn out bad.

FleaBay and PayPal have a lot of restrictions associated with their transactions. It takes a lot of oversight and cost in the effort to keep FleaBay largely legitimate - to the point that purchases are guaranteed or your money is refunded. Don't expect those protections on this Forum, where no fees are charged for the For Sale or Trade listings.

Still, sorry for the guys that are getting burned... that really sucks.
