Hey guys im heading to Idaho in Oct for their general deer hunt with a good buddy of mine who lives in Montana, question is how bad did the winter kill effect this area? and has anyone hunted this area recently?

Scouted there alittle last year. Always alot of deer down low By private. Haven't been there yet this year but was in Stanley for steelhead. Horrible amounts of deer and elk winter kill. Animals seen alive looked like sacks of bones. Closer to challis the deer looked better but not as many as usual. Some of that area is still snowed in. Heading to that area this week to check.
