I got my first muzzleloader. CVA in 50 cal. Never shot one before. Looks like it will be fun.

You're going to have a ball! I'm on over 40 years of shoot'n the muzz gun)

There's easy ways and then there are better ways. You can get a lot of good information and a lot of confusing information. Most generally where you'll get the worst information, is from the "behind the counter guy". In most case their recommendation of a bullet is almost always wrong.

You didn't mention what rifle you bought. MAN THAT AIN'T RIGHT.... telling folks you bought a new muzzleloader and leave out what kind... :)

That information may help others get you started on the "right track". Its a ball and once you learn, especially proper cleaning of your muzz, you'll get hooked just like the rest of us........

It's CVA accura 50 cl. I got Barns 250 gr. triple 7 to start with

There ya go......... Once you get used to the rifle, loading, shooting and cleaning, then maybe consider ordering the replacement breech plug for shooting BH209.

Be SAFE and have fun. If you're going to put a scope on it, do yourself a favor, put a quality scope on it. You'll be glad you did.

In Nevada we can only hunt with open sight. I am looking for better rear sight my eye not as good. And power measure.
