I have a Sako A-7 and was wondering if I would gain any accuracy by swapping out the factory stock for a McMillan stock?

I have one in .30'06 that came with the cheap plastic stock. It was a 1/2" shooter with factory stock and stayed that way when I put it in a McMillan......accuracy and POI was exact same......
The McMillan certainly can't HURT the accuracy....

The McMillan sure gives it the "Custom" feel and look....

If your A-7 is grouping under an inch I would say it is fine for a hunting rifle.

This one of mine has shot just over 1/2 MOA out to 600 yards
