The lead poisoning threads got me thinking...are there any people/groups in the United States that truly must hunt for food to survive?

We Hunt because, MOST Wild Game Meat IS,.. Healthier for My Family.
My Dad, NEEDED to Hunt and Trap to survive, the Depression / Dust Bowl Era.
He taught Me and I taught my Children, HOW to Hunt,.. Just in case, it becomes, "Necessary", again.
The Libby gubmint, doesn't want you to, know How to Hunt and BE,.. Independent !
The Eskimo's and some Natives, in Canada and Alaska still,.. Hunt / fish for, their Survival

lead poisoning. let's say that you shot a deer and the bullet does a pass through. You throw away all blood shot torn up meat.
There are people that nearly live off the grid. Alaska has lots of remote people that fish and hunt to make it through the winters.

I think the key word in that statement is must. Remote places up here its part of the lifestyle. But I think people would adapt if there was no more hunting. How they would adapt is anyone guess. Probably a lot more fishing. Get a job and buy meat instead of getting it all in the wild. And I'm sure many other ways

I remember all my elders grew or raised a majority part of their food to offset expenses to survive. Also hunted. Now all the land seems to be houses or turning into solar panels. Period
