I'm asking for a good friend of mine.He has a 6.5 Creedmoor for his young son .He stated their having trouble recovering game not leaving a blood trail what some good factory hunting ammo not match grade bullets .I suggested nosler partition Hornaday interlock maybe some of you can suggest something

I've had good luck with 129 Hornady interlock in my 260. The only other really dependable (no fail) bullet that I used was the Nosler partition.

Some of the heavies might work as good, but I can't get the accuracy out of them, because my 260 is early with 1:9 1/4 twist.

Winchester 125 Deer Season XP.

What ammo is he using and where is he hitting them? My immediate thought is they are not expanding, not exiting or not being hit in a lethal location.

Let's assume it is one of the first 2. I would try the 130 Federal Terminal Ascent, 120 all copper Hornady CX, or maybe the Hornady ELDX 143.

143 eldx is a decent bullet. Or call superior ammo and have him load some hammers. Or other of your choice. Just takes a bit of pre planning than going to the store.

Here's another solid ammo choice:

I'm using, the 143 ELD-X's at, 2,730 FPS ( 43.1 grs, StaBall 65 ) in my 6.5 Creed.
My 23 y/o grandson has shot, 3 Deer so far with, 143 gr, X's out of his 6.5 PRC and, has had, Pass thru's at, 225 and 278 Yds, the one at, 497 yds Bullet was, just under, the Hide and, ALL,. Died within,. 20-25 Yards !
ELD-X's are, a fairly TOUGH Bullet but, I'd avoid Bone, if, Possible !
They ARE, very "Accurate", in My Tikka, 6.5 creed. !

I have switched to the 130 tmk, have also used 143 eldx, gotten exits with both, but I also don't HAVE to have an exit. I do prefer them though on whitetail. What bullet is be shooting now

Rhuged ammunition 6.5 creedmoor with a 130 grain controlled chaos mono bullet. Gorilla ammunition also loads same round. You will not have a problem with blood trails. They kill like a lightning bolt and if the do run it won't be far if the bullet is placed where is should be. Both sub Moa in my factory tikka.
