HS Precision Barrel Blanks...

I wanted to see if anyone has any experience with HS Precision's barrels. I have searched the web and could not find any kind of feedback, good or bad. I assume that they should be pretty good barrels, just wanted to hear some real life experience before I submit my order. Thanks!

I have 3 of their rifles, all shoot very well. I would expect that the barrel blanks they turn out would be top notch as well.

Does anyone know if HS makes their barrels in house? If so, did they start up their own process or purchase another barrel maker?

HS makes the ENTIRE rifle in house to include all screws bolts and other small parts.

I was going to buy a used HS P2000 varmint pistol in 7mm-08 one time, and I thought I would call them and ask how much to remove the 15" barrel and put on a 6mmBR. The price was just short of $1,200.00! Uh, no thanks...

Did they give you an itemized quote? $350 for the barrel and $850 to thread/chamber/install?

you sure about that? Their actions are almost an exact copy of a Howa 1500 the only difference is a side bolt release and 1-1/16" tenon threads

Yes, in my conversations with them they are very proud of the fact that they make the entire firearm in house.
