Howa 1500 Trigger

Good evening blokes, this might be a stupid question, but I was wondering if the safety block is removed, will I have freedom to adjust the trigger down to a pound? Or will it simply not work at all, don't have the rifle yet, but think there is nothing worse then a heavy trigger. I never use the safety, so it will not affect me in any way.

I replaced my factory Vanguard trigger with a Rifle Basix trigger and couldn't be happier, very crisp and got it down to about 18 oz. No safety worries either. It wasn't very expensive and easy to install, customer service was excellent also.
