First, lot of acrimony out there for various reasons so leave it out of this thread. So I am asking any poster only post up constructive advice NOT related to any individual or business. The WHOLE purpose is to provide advice on how to buy a rifle on line that allows a buyer REASONABLE guidance that makes sense.

- Does the seller have a trader rating?
- Has the seller been on LRH for a "reasonable" period of time. Whatever that means.
- Are there good representative photos of the rifle showing ALL angles of the rifle in good lighting? If not comfortable, ask for SPECIFIC photos that will make you feel better.
- Is there a good DETAILED description of the rifle?
- Manufacturer? Model?
- Serial number? FFL can check?
- Cartridge as standard or wildcat?
- Estimated or known round count?
- Rifle factory or a build?
- Gunsmith build? Who? DIY build?
- Action factory or a build?
- Action trued? By whom?
- Barrel manufacturer? Factory? Remage? Shoulder?
Barrel length and contour? Any barrel modifications? Chopped? Recrowned? - Edit added: coatings?
- Edit added: stainless, blue, carbon?
- Bore scope photos if available or even request.
- Twist
- Chamber specifications if SAAMI or special reamer?
- Chamber, throat photos?
- Magazine type, max COAL.
- Rifling type
- Stock manufacturer, factory or AM?
- LOP?
- Edit added: full length or pillar bedding? Epoxy bedded? Recoil lug bedded? Barrel bedded? Material used?
- Any stock modifications?
- Trigger manufacturer? Range of adjustment. Current setting?
- Sling studs? How many?
- M-lok capability?
- Recoil pad type?
- Photo documentation?
- Optics? Manufacturer and model? Diameter? Range if MOA
- Ring manufacturer? Diameter?
- Base manufacturer? Range of MOA?

- Firing pin or replaced?
- Firing pin spring factory or replaced?
- Bolt face photos?
- Extractor type? Any modifications?

- Written documentation as needed for complete assurance.
- 24 hour unfired review PRIOR to ACTUAL transfer
- What else would you consider? Understand not everyone would need to ask these questions. These are just suggestions to consider.
