How fat is the 338 Lapua magnum?

I mean compared to other common cartirdges?
I wonder why I have't heard more about wildcats based on a short fat Lapua mag. It would seem logical to me.Fat case, good brass. Maybe a 6.5 would work well.

It's a .590 bolt face. WAY big for a 6.5 unless you shortened the thing to under 1.5". It's a ton of work and just isn't worth the hassle. (Been there done that)
