If Ruger took their RCM cartridge and necked it down to .264, would the result be enough to compete with the 6.5x.284? I have been wanting a 6.5x.284 for some time but can't justify the expense of a custom gun. However, if Ruger released such a cartridge, how well would it be accepted? It would not have a rebated rim like all the current "short mags" and the 6.5x.284.
