I want to do more shooting with my 300 weatherby mag, however the barrel gets so hot after three shots that I worry about ruining the barrel. The grouping starts to spread as well after three. These shots are about 2 mins apart.

Should I wait and shoot every ten minutes?

In a lighter hunting rifle with thin barrel they are not designed for shooting all day at the range . If you do that more you will wear the barrel out real quick .
Just get it shooting well and put a few shots through it now and then to keep in practise but save the barrel for hunting . Get a 223 or 308 to bang away at the range all day. Cheaper ammo and less recoil on your system .
