Hello!

Very new to any type of LR shooting. It has always interested me, and I've recently moved from a state where I couldn't do much hunting or shooting to MN, so I decided to put together a budget hunting rifle suited to my hunting area, which wouldn't be more than 4-500 yards.

I read a good review on the Ruger American Predator, and grabbed one for cheap in 308 Win. Paired with my SiCo Hybrid, a Harris swivel bipod, and a vortex crossfire II 6-18x44 AO. I picked up the scope without much research and looking back wish I spent a little more on a better model, with less magnification.

Does anyone have a similar setup? How well does it work out for you? I've not had a chance to shoot it yet, next weekend I'll be breaking in the barrel and sighting it in.
