New to long range have been a 50-300 yard hunter for years rifle of choice for that has been Ruger MKII .30-06 all weather stainless. Last year picked up a R-25 Remington .308 and access to "power line" that will allow for +300 yd opportunities once I develop the skill to take game at those ranges.

Looking fwd to learning from the community here. Avid deer hunter since 1986 and have been reasonably successful at that over the years, I'm a 30+ year gas & steam turbine field engineer and USN/USNR veteran.

Hunting is one hobby/passion I also dabble in performance mods for Diesel pickups I'm a GM 6.5 enthusiasts and yes they can be made into powerful and reliable machines despite those who say otherwise.
