Thursady night I was given a personal invite to the Marine Corps Birthday Ball (I was Army). Man what a bash!!!! Pretty much all combat vets from all eras. Some of them and I came out of the same weed patch. But the final deal came when a young man in his dress blues came out and made a three or four minute long speech. Talked about honor and duty, and why he wore his blues. Then he cut the cake the traditional way with a catured Japanese sword from WWII!!!

These guys left me thinking how proud it is to even known some of them! And trust me some of them are still in the recovery mode right now!
