Got my best ever MS deer this past January while hunting in north MS. Got to hunt some corps of engineers land and in a spot the rangers had been spotting a nice buck. I set up in a pop up blind and used a 6.8 spc. with a single shot through the heart he only made it 10yds. Great memories. I was expecting the deer to come out of a swampy stretch of timber 400yds away, but this guy suddenly popped out of a small thicket 150yds in front of me. I had a Caldwell shooting rest my friend let me borrow and it was like using a bench from inside that blind. Can't really brag and say I made a long range shot, however it was a quality shot.
