A quick google search makes it seem that Sports authority is merging with gart sports. The link above may be it.

Sports Authority merged with Garts in Aug '03. Now Oshmans, Garts, Spotrs Authority, and Sportmart are all one company.
I was working for Oshmans when it happened, the store I worked at has since been closed under the new management.

The one in Colorado Springs use to have good prices on bullets from time to time...Guess they don't carry them any more.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

No worries about the job. It pushed me to get a better one until I finished college.
I think every town needs a Sportsmans Warehouse though. Sportsmans makes Gart's look bad in the outdoor department.
