Garmin buys Delorme

Just read on another forum that Garmin is going to buy out DeLorme.
That will probably be great news for us hunters.All the functionality of the Garmin gps systems with 2-way communication capabilities SWEET.
Just saved me some money too as I was prepped to buy an Inreach explorer.Now I'll wait and see.

Interesting. satellite messaging paired with a nice Garmin user interface would be really nice. Hopefully time to market isn't too long.

Id like to buy a hand held gps this year and play with it before hunt season. Any recommendations? Garmin is my preferred brand. Need to be able to put the SD cards in so I can buy certain state maps. I need to go from the truck to hunt and back. Not too much more. Thoughts?
