Gunsmiths take a look.
I used to shoot 600 yard benchrest and haven't for years and want a semi or custom long range rifle in a hunter config.
This gun has a Nesika J action with fluted bolt in high polish. Bolt was originally a magnum and I sent it to Mike Bryant in Texas to install a Sako extractor which made it a 308 bolt face. It has a Jewell BR trigger (2oz) and it is in a Shehane Tracker stock. Stock picture below from Bill Shehane's web site. Mine is actually fancier. Only problem on the stock it has a scratch on the side which goes through the 18 coats of clear coat on it (when I found the scratch I had tears in my eyes). Someone that works with clear coat could fix it.
The rifle has a Krieger barrel that was originally a 243 WSSM and I had it rechambered in 6x47 Shehane. IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I do not have the dies for it anyway.
With a scope the gun weighed around 15 lbs.
I will send pictures of the actual gun if someone is interested.
Again, I'm looking for a long range hunting rifle, caliber open.
If I were to sell outright I'd want $1800.
