Do any of you guys know of a quality fishing multi tool that has the ability to cut hooks, cut braided line, spread split rings, and close open-eye hooks?

It's hard to beat a leatherman but they don't quite do all I want. They don't spread split rings or reliably cut hooks.

Your leatherman doesn't have cutters on pliers?

Been running the Bubba Long Nose Pliers and love them! Great for mono and braided, fishing rock fish and halibut mostly.

The wire cutter isn't great at cutting 4/0 hooks and they don't have a split ring tool.

I run a similar tool and it works great except it won't cut hooks.

8" knipex bolt cutters are the best thing I've found for hooks. Amazon will be your friend on them. I've run the same pair of mustard long needle nose pliers for years and there's always a use for a leatherman in the boat.

I do take a basic leatherman fishing.
I know this is an old thread, but I was checking one of my tackle boxes, and it reminded me of this thread. Like others, I, too, carry my own Leatherman, Gerber, and SOG multi-tool. But this setup has served me well on my fishing trips.
