For this Fall/Winter Season we received "zero" rain, and until recently only 2 or 3 "dustings" of snow ….one may have been 1/4" to 3/8".

The drought ended last night/morning…….we got about 2 tp 3 inches of much needed white stuff!

I know that many of you are waaaay beyond seeing snow……but around here, precipitation of any form (other than hail) is a welcome sight! memtb

We got 6" of snow last night. We need more, but for now, I'll take it.

That 2–3 inches of fresh powder sounds like a sweet relief after a brutally dry fall winter with basically zero real precip and just those pathetic dustings.
Nationwide and especially out West, this season's been a nightmare record snow drought in places like Colorado, Utah, Oregon, massive low snowpack from warm temps turning precip to rain instead of building the pack. Even with some recent storms hitting parts of the West Coast and Sierra, a lot of areas are still way behind on moisture for spring runoff and fire season worries.
Your spot finally getting some meaningful white stuff? That's a legit win recharges the ground, perks up the trees lawns, and buys a little breathing room.

Winter is over for us here in Texas . As usual winter was several days long. Coldest part of winter occurred with that ice storm that affected several states and we only had below freezing temperatures for four days but every day temperatures got above freezing. It's 68º and will get to around 73º. There is a cold front coming where temperatures will dip into the 40's in the morning but will warm up into the 60's.

Along with the little bit of snow…..it was -12 here this morning! But, I think that's pretty temporary! memtb
