Jeremy shot this epic Black Bear (brown phase) at 80 yards with a 7 PRC and the 169 Hammer Hunter. Bullet velocity was 3030 FPS. The bear went 10 yards and expired. Congratulations Jeremy.

Ginger bear? 
Pretty bruin, we see one or two a year in that kind of phase color. About 30% of the bruins in our area are non black phase bears.
Would love to see another pic of the bear, one from the side view. Please post one when you have time.
Very difficult to get a good idea of bear size with a frontal view like this especially with the hunter sitting back.
