Elk down

I always have zippers or buttons on my layers, so I can open the front up all the way down to my coolmax t-shirt. I can take off my neck warmer and watch cap on the run, to help to cool down a little. Once you spot elk, it is almost always a race to get to them before they move into the woods. When you don't get a little excited when presented with a shot on an elk, it might be time to quit hunting.
Congratulations.

Petey308, I agree completely with the high SD near or over .280. Of course, it holds true with muzzleloaders as well. As SD goes up, so does BC. I use a 7mm WSM with Berger 168 gr. VLD (SD .298), and it will do the job even with an imperfect shot. It has worked on javelina, deer, elk, aoudad, antelope. I've neve recovered a bullet.
