I recently had the chance to do some product testing with a DPMS flattop in .308. The rifle was very well constructed, and sported a free floating handguard, the usual upper receiver rail slots, and an excellent factory trigger. The rifle had no forward assist. A Leupold Ultra Compact was used for testing, as was Lapua Aficionado 167gr Match ammo.

At 100 yards from a bipod front rest & rear bag, groups averaged right at 1/2" with some in the 1/4"-3/8" range. No malfunctions, bobbles, or problems of any kind. Recoil was very light, allowing for quick follow-up shots. All-in-all, an excellent production semiauto rifle and an outstanding value. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
