The best groups I've shot in my savage model 12 .223r have been with 75 gr bthp and 75gr amax's, with a 1 in 9" twist, but i here lots of people say they don't stabilize in an AR. On the Miller stabilization formula, the Hornady 75 bthp is calculated to be a factor of 1.40 in a 9"twist at 2800 fps at sea level. Sounds like to me this would be a perfect marriage. I don't want to be the idiot calling hords of other people stupid, so maybe i'm missing something. Why do so many say these won't stabilize? (as a side note, the 77smk is even more stable. That might confuse some of these same people.)
