I guess they will be wanting to release the newly made dire wolves into the lands to multiply now? Larger than grey wolves…goodness. 🙄

What I read is that, no, they are not de-extinct they are simply gray wolves with altered genes.

You know, like when a dude cuts off his business and calls himself a girl and goes about wearing different jeans.

Same thing.
correct
they took the grey wolf and edited its genome to resemble a dire wolf or the best guess of the scientist. like scientist beleive all dire wolves were white, more muscles, bigger skull, etc. which is neat but no where near as fantastic as the articles portray. getting dna from skulls and cloning one, that would be a different story.
from my understanding, they took dire wolf skulls from 13k and 33k years ago and found out their differences and used that as a roadmap

Mastodon ribs would make a grand BBQ. Maybe we could talk @FEENIX into cooking for all of us.
It would also give us a reason to aquire a new "magnum" rifle… and gives us more subject matter to waste our days away arguing about bullet choices, primers, powders and brass.

Also: What camo pattern would be best for hunting mastodons?

"I am not looking for anybody's honey hole, but can you point a vet in the right direction for a first time mastodon hunt in NW Wyoming?"

Select that magnum carefully. You probably still have a lot of Reloder 23 to use up.
