On a half serious note now that my own kids aren't all babies and toddlers anymore I've found im starting to have lots of fun with them…been having epic NERF gun fights in the basement.
I recall a few years ago when my oldest had just been born an older guy who'd walked that road before me told me in no uncertain terms that the first few years might the most exhausted I'd ever feel in my life (he was right) but also that one of the best things about being a dad was that in a way it let you be a kid again. I had such a hard time knowing what I was supposed to do with my kids when they were babies…now that they want to battle in one way or another all day I'm finding that guy was right!
