The barrel is a fixed shoulder install and NOT a variable shoulder/ barrel nut as is typically found on a Savage. Also, the barrel has been Cryo-Accurized (see below) to relieve the stress and be an extra safety factor. The recoil lug and front action area has been epoxy bedded and the rifle is capable of 500 yard and beyond Sub-Moa accuracy with right load and shooter. Depending on the load(bullet and powder) it is capable of shooting a 300 grain bullet at +/- 3050 FPS. With that velocity you have almost 6200 ft-lbs of energy at the muzzle and still have more than 1500 ft-lbs. of energy at 750 yards. Various load data will be supplied with rifle.
