.300 Ultra Mag rifle, trued Remington BDL action, Krieger Match barrel
This rifle was designed and built for cross canyon, long range hunting and shooting here in New Mexico. Action and bolt have been blueprinted and trued by NRA Trinidad gunsmithing school. Barreled action bedded into a H.S. Precision varmint type stock with a kick EEZE recoil pad and Harris Bi-Pod added. The barrel is a stainless steel match Grade heavy varmint contour Krieger, 31 inches long with a 1-11 twist and a very efficient VAIS muzzle brake added. The combination of barrel weight, recoil pad and muzzle brake make the felt recoil from full bore loads less than that of a light .280 Remington I own. A load of 95 grains of H1000 and the excellent Swift 180 grain bullet produces 3,425 fps with moderate pressure! Accuracy runs from 1/2-3/4 minutes of angle. Scope is a 30mm Cabela 6.5 x 20 with AO that sets in Burris rings on a full length Badger Ordnance 20 minute, one piece Picatinny scope base. Rifle comes with: A Redding full length sizing die, a custom made inline seating die made from this chambering reamer, 95 rounds of Remington brass, cartridge boxes, bullets and all data provided; and a padded full length case needed for this 52 1/2" long rifle. Rifle remains for sale until all arrangements are finalized, and shipping details agreed upon. $2,650.00

Thanks,

The rifle is a quality weapon and after testing it here in the windblown Rockies and seeing how well a 180 grain bullet resists wind at 3,425 fps, especially beyond 400 yards, to have had an accident that no longer allows me to mount and dismount a horse, is truly frustrating.
