Conversation 7mm mag

I was wondering what other calibers one could convert a 7mm mag into. I would like a 300 win mag or 338 win mag or a 375 ruger are one of these calibers be doable? How much work would go into this? Trying to learn some gunsmithing work and I have nothing in this 7mm mag so a good one to practice on.

Pretty much any caliber that has the same bolt face. What action is it?

So a Remington 700 long action with a 0.540 bolt face could be any of these with just a barrel swap as well as many others

I would pick the caliber I wanted, pick the stock I wanted, get a remage barrel, swap a great trigger onto it, and put some good glass on it. You can't go wrong with building a Remington 700 as long as you leave everything alone that you don't have proper equipment to improve on.

I had an old Rem 700 in 7mm Rem Mag converted to a 300 Win Mag. Basically amounts to changing the barrel. That's all.
