Blind Mag to DBM conversion?

I have a Savage 10FP .308. It has the 4.4" screw spacing and a blind magazine. I want to know if it is possible to convert it to a Drop Box Magazine. Can anyone help me? What do I need to do it?

Also, what is meant by "bottom metal"? Thank you all in advance!
