The Christensen Arms Ranger rimfire rifle is back in production. Older rifles seem to have a lot of bad press given the production numbers.
I am looking for a premium ADULT-sized 22WMR or 17HMR rifle that is on the lighter side. I was looking at the Bergara B-14R series but, they seem pretty heavy and the carbon fiber barrel version catches a lot of bad press.
I am looking for a hunting rifle to take dogs at 150 yards when a centerfire rifle is not a good option. Plus the lighter weight will make it more apt to be slung on my shoulder when needed versus a heavier rifle.
For big aggressive DOMESTIC dogs, not pets or fur babies, I am open to thoughts for or against the 22WMR and 17HMR caliber options as well.
Good accuracy is needed but, I'm not headed for the Olympics either!!!
