Has anyone any experience with CFE223 in they're 22/250s ? Also my 22/250 has a 12"twist ,I was shooting Sierra's new 60gr TMK and got tight ideal groups at a 100yds. On the box its says 10"twist are faster. I wonder if these bullets will group well at 200+yards ? I guess testing is only way to find out. Loads will be for PD's in MT.

I'm running 223 in my stock rem. 1 in 14 twist using nosler 55gr. btips. Groups well at 200, but my es is about 80 fps. I split the difference of velocity and entered it in my G7. I shot groundhogs out 560 yards without many misses.

I ran around 36.5gr of CFE223 with the 60gr Vmax in a Savage 12 FV. It was a 12 twist and was extremely accurate. Ran about 3600 fps if I remember correctly. Tore it apart after about 1500 rounds to make an Ackley.

Some years ago (2014) I tried CFE in my Carl Gustaf 9000 22-250 with a new PacNor barrel. I had no joy with it at all. I was shooting Sierra 55gr GK bullets. I hit pressure signs at 38 grains although Hodgdon listed 39 grains as max with a 55 grain bullet at the time. With 37 grains my 5 shot groups at 100m were around .75" with an average velocity of 3563 fps but an extreme spread of 110 fps in Lapua brass and Fed 210 M. In the end I went back to IMR 4895 and the groups shrunk to .410".
