Ok guys,

What are the up's and downs and the good, bad and ugly about these two products? Which would you use and why?

Thanks!

They are both very similar in appearance and application. Cerakote is 7 1/2 times more resistant to abrasion. To help prove it I did a handful of tools for my customers to abuse and they still look good dispite deliberate abuse.

I have never had the Duracoat. I do though have a lot of my rifles cerakoted and they are literally bomb proof.

I have used both products for rifles and knives. Both work very well when you take your time, follow the directions (don't touch it until it says you can), etc. Given they choice, I usually learn toward applying the Cerakote. It is EXTREMELY hard wearing.
