I have a question for those that have a lot of experience Cerakote, I have a rifle the customer wants me to Cerakote, it is a Ruger American, I noticed the Cartridge and Serial Number engraving are very thin letterings and numbers. My question, do any of you try and fill in the engraving with modeling clay or something else prior to coating? I am just concerned after one pass with Cerakote the engraving will be washed out and non legible. The only other option I can think of is taping over the serial number and cartridge on the barrel.
