Can anyone tell me more about these shells?

Was on a sheep hunt and one of the guides found this. It is smaller than a 20ga and bigger than a .410 and has zero markings on the cartridge base. We assume a chukar hunter from back in the day with a high brass shell but we don't know when 'back in the day' was.

Anyone know what this is or how old it may be?

"Smaller than a 20 & bigger than a .410," sounds like a 28 gauge.

Yeah if he gets back to you, the case length and rim diameter are especially of interest. I can see the body of the case is pretty deformed but case length and rim diameter should tell a person a lot.
