For those of you that have used the Burris MTAC for varmint shooting, did you have any trouble ranging using the reticle. It seems the reticle lines are kinda thick.

Don't know which reticle you're talking about--the CQ one they advertise with the dots or the line mil reticle [i think it is].
When i use the line reticle systems i subtract one line thickness from the subtension that's supposed to be used as it's my opinion that most guys guess [interpolate] mil-readings from edge of line to edge of line so it's more accurate [i've found] to do that. Darrell Holland also suggests this.

Oops, sorry, I was thinking of the Gen 2 mil-hash reticle on the 4.5-14.
