By all means I'm not an expert however seeking information which bullet is best for accuracy. Why? I don't want to shoot an animal with a non-fatal shot at ranges 500 and above because of accuracy or energy issues.

Question? With the Labradar, I was able to capture velocities at 150 yards, convert them to G1 and G7. Compared the data with factory BCs and compared with the actual impact on the target. Using the factory G1 factory BC, the ballistics table was off by 2.0 MOA @500. Using the same loads, I used the G7 conversion using the 150 yard BC. Bingo !! Now the table mirrored the actual bullet impact @500.

There are so many bullets can do the job, but seeking a bullet that has a consistent BC out past 500 yards for 300 WBY. I'm currently utilizing 212 ELDX @ average of 2840 FPS.

Thanks in advance.

You're using a pointy nose, boat tail bullet so the G7 BC should be closer to your results from the target and Labradar.

I use the .300 Weatherby with the Badlands 205 gr. 26" barrel.
