I'm looking for a budget 308 win rifle in 500 to 600 dollar range I'm trying to help my brother out getting one and thats about all he can spend with me adding cash as well just let me know what you may have thanks

I have a .308 Remington 700 BDL barreled action with a stock trigger that is missing the trigger spring. I do have the bottom metal.
I bought this unfired in 1992? Taken to the range a few times and killed 2 cow elk and an antelope. It hasnt been fired in 10 years. The barrel is shiny and the parts are in great shape. If interested I can take good pictures and get them to you. I am unsure of the value but would like it to be fair for both of us if interested. I can provide the serial number and believe it to be a late 1980s make.

I saw Mausers for sale on Eurooptic I believe. they were discounted to just over $400 . My friend got one in Creedmoor and has been very happy with its accuracy and trigger.
