What should I look for in a break action with excessive pressure? I've been working up loads for my buddies CVA scout 7mm-08 and this thing flattens factory load primers. I don't know if its a high pressure gun or its the style of action causing this? We haven't had any gas leaks yet.

I'm working with 145gr lrx over varget if anyone knows any loads I'm all ears.

I shoot a T/C Encore, and used to shoot the Contender, since the Encore came out.

Flattened primers might be a sign of excessive head space in that 7-08 bbl. with factory ammo. Especially if the extraction is not sticky or difficult.

My experience has been that extraction will get sticky or difficult about the same time primer start showing some pressure signs in the T/C break action guns.

So far no sticky extraction. However, I have noticed once fired brass in the cva fit very tightly or not at all in a savage, even after resizing.
